Route 66?

To this day we do not quite know why we decided to take American Studies at university. Utterly pointless subject made slightly more pointful when in combination with International History. That's not to say it wasn't interesting (well, some parts...anyway...)

Yes, due to all the study we decided that visiting the place we'd learnt about for the last 4 years should be visited... we managed to persuade daddy that this was super idea and that he should pay for the trip. I still have no idea how I managed to convince to give me money. So, upon daddy's parting with cash and saying "find your own spending money", we thought the best thing to do would be to do the WorkAmerica Program as recommended by dear Rachel. All very simple really, Carolyn and I found ourselves jobs at the prestigious Cedar Point and then we were off. 4 days in NYC (very good) and then off to work. Marvellous uniforms...super working hours...actually not bad pay, and truthfully good company (love to Kelly and Heather especially).

A few months of BBQ chicken, ice in hats, sneaking off for fag breaks and it was time to leave lovely Ohio and move on to pastures new. 55 hours, 129 random people,8 drivers,an Amish family,1 passed out in aisle man and 2 state police officers and some Greyhound buses later, we arrived in San Fransisco at 2am. Now, after being warned by several people along our journey not to go outside the bus station anytime after dark and not having accomodation booked, we retrieved all our worldly possesions and had a smoke. Plucked up the energy to call a few places and off we trotted mindless of the fact that we may be wearing the wrong colour...Absolutely wonderful few days were had there and there are plans to return one day.

From there it was LA or rather Thousand Oaks, a Mexcian insistant on giving me his sunhat and a Heather. All in all Heather was the best part of those few days. Sorry guys, wasn't impressed with LA at all (though almost took a job there not so long ago).

San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas,Nashville, Atlanta, Washington DC....fingers are tired from typing. This will follow at a later date.
As will Indiana.
